14th July 2021 – 25th August 2021- Sunway City Iskandar Puteri's Talent Show

The Social Linkage team organised a talent show competition that was held virtually via The Johor Matrix Team WhatsApp Group. The competition was organised for all Johor Matrix Team and Sunway City Iskandar Puteri’s staff. The objective of the event was for the team to showcase their talents and skills to encourage creativity within the work environment.

6th August 2021 - Sunway City Penang’s Business Update Meeting 

Sunway City Penang recently held its Mid-Year Regional Business Update Meeting virtually via Microsoft Teams which saw the attendance of Sunway City Penang Region’s employees. The objective of the virtual meeting was to update all Penang Region employees on the region’s achievements for the first-half of 2021 and the way forward for the second half of 2021. The meeting also entails a closing remark by Deputy Managing Director, Mr Lum Tuck Ming, who is also the PCM of Penang Region.

11th August 2021-  Sunway Property Central Business Update Meeting 

Sunway Property Central Region also recently held its Business Update Meeting virtually via Microsoft Teams. The virtual event saw the attendance of all Sunway Property’s Central Region management and staff. The virtual meeting entails business updates for Central Region, the initiatives that have occurred in the first-half of 2021 and the direction moving forward for the second half of 2021.

14th August 2021- Blood donation campaign @ Sunway Big Box Retail Park, Johor 

In collaboration with St. John Ambulance of Malaysia, another blood donation drive was organized at Sunway Big Box Retail Park for a day.  The blood donation drive was held to replenish the blood banks in Johor and to encourage the public to help those in need.  30 blood donors turned up that day for the donation drive.  

 


19th of August 2021- Sunway donates wheelchair to Mr Arumugam @ Perak

In support of those who are in need during these unprecedented times, Sunway City Ipoh donated a wheelchair to an underprivileged beneficiary. Mr Arumugam, a disabled, B40 category person, requested help from Sunway as his livelihood depended on a motorized wheel chair to provide income for his family by collecting recyclable items. Due to his dire situation, on the 19^th of August 2021, Sunway’s Tan Kok Ming, Lau Jia Jian and Susan Sae, on behalf of Sunway City Ipoh, extended their help and presented the surprise gift to Mr Arumugam at his home in Slim River, Perak.

At Sunway, we will always stay true to our commitment in building sustainable communities, and helping those who are in need to combat this challenging period together.

31th August 2021- 31st October 2021 – Sunway Property extends help to Local F&B heroes

#MyCommunityHeroes is back for the second year. In conjunction with the country’s 64th Hari Kebangsaan, Sunway Property revived #MyCommunityHeroes with an aim to extend help to 64 local F&B heroes. Ranging from cafes to local businesses operating from homes, Sunway Property extended its social media platforms and the Sunway Property app to create awareness for these businesses.

To encourage the community to play a part in helping these SMEs, Sunway Property also gave out vouchers up to RM 600 daily via its app to 30 registrants. Some of the brands that have been highlighted include Wise Crafters, Mr Pie Man, My Nicholes Cakery and Schewy Cookies. Stay tuned as Sunway Property will feature more local F&B heroes, one each day until 31st October 2021. 

Sunway Property garnered 5 StarProperty 2021 awards

StarProperty has honoured Sunway Property with five of their distinguished Property Awards this year. Sunway Property was honoured with the most prestigious award which is the ‘All-Stars Award’ whereas in Johor, the team was awarded with four awards. Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, Sunway’s largest township was awarded ‘The Earth Conscious Award’ for its’ environmental-friendly elements incorporated in its project’s planning, design and construction process. Sunway GRID took home the ‘Creative Space Award’ for its’ impeccable utilization of space that offers elegance and spacious living while Sunway Citrine Lakehomes were honored with both ‘The Family-Friendly Award’ and ‘The Cornerstone Award’ for its’ strategic location and its’ development’s multi-generational living feature.

The awards were a testament to Sunway’s commitment towards environmental and social responsibility to communicate the company’s sustainability strategy and to create long term value for stakeholders and communities alike.
