4th December 2021 – Christmas Farmers’ Market @ Sunway XFarms

To spread the festive cheer and familiarity with urban farming, a Christmas Farmers’ Market was organised on December 4, 2021 at Sunway XFarms. During the event, visitors were able to take part in various exciting activities such as farm tours, tasting of microgreens, and participate in interactive and educational mini games which educates about compositing at home, sustainable fishing and lettuce varieties. They were also encouraged to purchase fresh vegetables, zero-waste household items, healthy snacks, and vegan bakes from a diverse selection of SMEs that were featured in that event.



4th December 2021 – Sunway Gandaria Residents’ Get Together Event

Sunway Property’s Customer Service Department ended the year at Sunway Gandaria with the first physical get together for its residents on December 4, 2021 with strict compliance to SOPs. Throughout the gathering, there were exciting line up of events to keep the guests entertained, which included a Photo Booth, Lucky Draw and Live Band. The children had an evening of laughter and fun with balloon sculptures from the Clown, Magic Show and some games. In compliance with SOP, the event was limited to 100 guests only and were given packed food for dinner. The get together was well received and all guests looked forward to more engagement activities in the future.

4th & 5th December 2021 – Virtual Soap Making Workshop

Sunway Property’s Customer Service Department recently organised a Virtual Soap Making Workshop for Sunway Property PALS and their family members on December 4, 2021. The workshop was initially planned as a one-day event, however the overwhelmingly positive response from Sunway Property PALS resulted in the extension of an additional session the next day. Three sessions were divided over the course of two days. A total of 38 children registered for the event and all the children enjoyed the workshop together with their family members. The aim of this event was to encourage parents and children to strengthen the bonds among each other. In this workshop, parents and children could unwind and connect as they made quality bars of soap with a creative spin.



10th December 2021 – Home Makeover for an Underprivileged Family @ Kampung Sungai Penchala

Holding true to the organisation’s tradition of continuously giving back to those in need, Sunway Putra Mall in collaboration with YB Hannah Yeoh, Sunway Property, Sunway Construction, Lions Club of Sunway Damansara Metro, Persatuan Anak Jati Penchala and Sunway Putra Mall's shoppers, organised a CSR initiative called ‘Keceriaan Bersama’. The sheer determination to provide a better home for the underprivileged was what that drove the team to identify a family in Kampung Sungai Penchala that was in dire need of a home makeover. The renovation included fixing roof leakages, repainting the house, providing new furniture while aiming to generate a comfortable living space for them. With this contribution, Sunway hopes to keep them safe and comfortable, as well as to remind them in times of hardship, we will continue to serve our community to the best we can.



11th December 2021 – Grow Your Own Food Workshop

In collaboration with PeBS DUN Kinrara, Sunway XFarms organised a Grow Your Own Food Workshop to empower the youth community in Selangor by educating them on local food security and urban farming. A total of 30 attendees attended the workshop and gained fresh insights on ways to live sustainably. During the workshop, the attendees participated in a hands-on session on preparing and sowing seeds for hydroponic growing. Having developed their awareness about greener living, the attendees had the opportunity to harvest some vegetables and herbs from the hydroponic farm themselves.



11th & 12th December 2021 – Christmas Musical Performances @ Klang Valley

Bringing the spirit of Christmas and holiday season to its community, the Customer Service Department organised an array of Christmas musical performances and an appearance from Santa Claus, held at various areas in the Klang Valley which included Sunway GEO Avenue, Sunway Velocity Nanjing Street, Sunway Nexis, as well as in other residential areas in the city. These events were aimed at building relationships with respective Joint Management Bodies (JMBs) and Management Corporations (MCs), helping to bring footfall to these locations and cultivating an overall joyful atmosphere during the month of Christmas.



14th December 2021 – The Edge Malaysia’s Property Excellence Awards 2021

At the 19th edition of The Edge Malaysia’s Property Excellence Awards 2021, Sunway Property was named as one of the Top 10 developers in The Edge Malaysia’s Top Property Developer Awards (TPDA) 2021 category. The TPDA is evaluated based on both qualitative and quantitative attributes. For the qualitative attributes, the judges consider each company’s expertise, image, innovation and creativity, product quality, and the value they create for buyers. Meanwhile for the quantitative attributes, the companies were evaluated based on their shareholders’ funds, turnover, profitability and cash or gearing. The event took place at Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and was graced by the Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican.

24th December 2021 – Flood Victims Aid @ Teluk Intan, Perak

The recent flood in the country brought an immense amount of challenges to thousands of people. Therefore, in an effort to help out the victims during these unprecedented times, Sunway City Ipoh and Sunway Lost World of Tambun donated cleaning supplies such as brushes, brooms and water hoses to those affected by the recent flash floods at Dewan Bandaran Teluk Intan. A total of 30 beneficiaries received the cleaning supplies. Other necessities such as food and drinks were also provided for the victims as well as for the volunteers. Through this initiative, Sunway not only hopes to rebuild the homes of these victims, but also hopes to rebuild their lives during these challenging times.



25th December 2021 – Johor Bahru FreeFly Parrot Show

On 25th December 2021, Sunway City Iskandar Puteri collaborated with JB FreeFly to bring a flock of colourful parrots to Sunway Emerald Lake. The public was able to enjoy and watch the colourful and melodic birds soar up high and winging about freely while relaxing in a natural and beautifully landscaped area. The event successfully saw the attendance of approximately 100 people.



Joyous Christmas Event @ Sunway Property Sales Galleries in the Klang Valley

In conjunction with the Christmas season, Sunway Property Sales Galleries in the Klang Valley organised Christmas events for their walk-in customers. Over the weekends in December, Sunway Velocity TWO hosted Santa Meet & Greet event and Joyful Christmas event. On the other hand, Sunway Belfield Sales Gallery hosted a Christmas Arts & Craft event for their walk-in customers. The two-day event held during the weekends successfully saw the attendance of approximately 100 walk-in customers. The Christmas events were held to encourage more walk-in customers to learn more about Sunway Property’s new launches and developments.
