What Happened in December 2022 @ Sunway Property

Sunway City Iskandar Puteri Hosts MBIP Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon Carnival @ Sunway Big Box 

On the 1st of December, SCIP hosted the annual Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri’s Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon Carnival at Sunway Big Box. This event was the finale of a year-long initiative across local schools to encourage innovative sustainable ideas and showed MBIP’s commitment to encourage and spread awareness of low carbon efforts. Attending the event were 100 local government schools and other city councils, as well as our very own SCIP staff who joined in by setting up a booth to showcase Nature’s Capital City and share their knowledge on reducing carbon emissions.  

Sunway Property Collaborates with Mercedes for Meet and Greet the Stars 

On the 3rd and 4th of December, the Mercedes Meet and Greet the Stars event took place at the Sunway Velocity TWO Sales Gallery. Pals, registrants, walk-in customers, and C&C customers were invited to join in and test drive the brand new all electric Mercedes-EQ whilst also getting to know about Signature Series homes. 

Sister School Signing Ceremony between Sunway International School and SJK (C) Cheah Fah 

Sunway International School (SIS) principal Craig Hugh Gerow and SJK (C) Cheah Fah principal Chew Lee Peng established themselves as Sister Schools on the 6th of December to begin their linguistic, cultural and knowledge exchange together. Witnessing this momentous charter were Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah, founder and chairman of Sunway Group, Professor Dr Elizabeth Lee, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Education Group, along with several other VIPs. Education has always been at the core of Sunway since its inception and this agreement earmarks our commitment to educational excellence and its advancement!  

Core Working Team Meeting by GBMC @ Sunway Velocity TWO Sales Gallery  

The Core Working Team (CWT) Meeting for this month was held on the 13th at Flexible Terrace, Sunway Velocity TWO Sales Gallery. The CWT update is a monthly meeting organised by GBMC where all the Brand and Marketing teams update each other on the happenings of their respective business units. There was a total of 60 attendees, and a special briefing from each Brand/Marketing Team, as well as a presentation from the Legal Team for Branding that taught us all about Trademarking our brand.

Avatar: The Way of Water Movie Night 

On the 15th of December, 90 employees gathered at TGV Sunway Pyramid to enjoy one of the most anticipated films - Avatar: The Way of Water! This movie night was a way to bring everyone closer together and to insert some fun as we hung out together as a team.  

Christmas Lunch with Marketing, Sales Admin & Support, CAR, BSC & CX 

A total of 40 staff from Marketing, Sales Admin and Support, CAR, BSC, and CX came together to enjoy a Christmas lunch on the 16th of December at Level 2 AV room. This get-together gave colleagues from different departments the opportunity to mingle together and exchange gifts, immersing in the joyous atmosphere of Christmas and further improving their relationships with one another. 

Sunway Property and Standard Chartered Bank MoU Signing Ceremony   

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between Sunway Property and Standard Chartered Bank took place on the 16th of December at Sunway Resort Hotel. The event was attended by 27 SIP and SCB employees, including Mr. Chong Sau Min (SIP Senior Executive Director), Mr. Gerard Yuen (SIP Chief Brand & Marketing Officer), Mr. Mak Joon Nien (SCB CEO), and Encik Hj Suhaimi Abdul Hamis (SCB Saadiq CEO). Signing this MoU will provide Sunway’s homebuyers preferential rates to our green properties! 

Social Linkage 2022 Christmas Lunch Party  

More than 150 attendees comprising our SIP Central Region staff and Mr Chong Sau Min gathered at the AV Room to enjoy a Christmas Lunch Party on the 21st December. Everyone received Christmas gifts and bonded over the games and winning prizes!
