What Happened in September 2022 @ Sunway Property

3rd September 2022- Mid-Autumn Festival @ V-Park, Sunway Velocity  

As the Master Community Developer, Sunway Property brought its communities and shoppers in Sunway Velocity together in the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival on the first weekend of September at V-Park, Sunway Velocity. The festival was aimed to attract footfall to V-Park and the commercial developments surrounding it.   

Guests who were present were given free lanterns and exclusive snacks upon registration. Over half a thousand guests including the children from Yayasan Sunbeams Home enjoyed the jovial festival, embracing the essences of Mid-Autumn- togetherness and reunion. Also, families and friends gathered to join the Lantern Parade around the park, lighting up the autumn night sky with laughter and fond memories.   

Moreover, those guests had the opportunity to feast their eyes, ears and bellies on entertaining live band performances, Dragon Dance, Diabolo Performance, Pomelo Peeling Contest, Acrobatic Performance as well as delectable food from food trucks and bazaar stalls. 

5th September 2022- Sunway Property and Public Bank Ink MOU to Promote End-financing for Green Projects @ Menara Public Bank Berhad  

Sunway Property and Public Bank Bhd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on financing for green and sustainable development projects. The collaboration is in alignment with Sunway Group’s five ESG goals with 19 targets- to drive the transformation of Sunway Property's developments into low-carbon, sustainable cities and reduce emissions, to name a few.

10th September 2022- Lantern Parade @ Sunway City Iskandar Puteri 

A much-anticipated holiday marked by family reunions and full moon gazing, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival at Sunway City Iskandar Puteri (SCIP) was full of blessings and joy! Over 300 attendees gathered together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at the Lantern Parade in SCIP. The lantern parade spanned 1.7km across the SCIP township (Sunway Citrine Hub ↔ Sunway Emerald Boulevard 88) with several dragon dance and drum performances throughout. Participants also received free lanterns and candies. 

Other highlights of the event are lucky draws, Mid-Autumn bazaar, mooncake as well as Osmanthus jelly workshops.

16th September 2022- Program Sambutan Warna Warni Hari Malaysia PJS7 @ Balai Masyarakat PJS7/15  

Communities in PJS7 celebrated a triumphal Malaysia Day with Program Sambutan Warna Warni Hari Malaysia PJS7. This red-letter Malaysia Day is particularly a momentous day to remember as the residents of PJS7/15 finally obtained their strata titles after 33 years, all thanks to the joint effort of several parties including Subang Jaya state assemblywoman Michelle Ng Mei Sze, the Selangor government, Sunway Property, the Selangor Land and Mines Office and the apartment’s joint management body (JMB). 

A symbolic strata title handover ceremony was held during the event, in which the strata title letters were handed over to a few residents of the Sunway Low-Cost Flat, to mark the issuance of strata titles to all 420 residents of PJS7/15.  

Another highlight of the celebratory event was a colouring contest for children aged 7 to 15.   

24th September 2022- Kempen Penanaman Pokok Serentak @ Sunway Wellesley  

In an effort to increase awareness of climate change and encourage a greener environment for future generations, Sunway Property joined the Kempen Penanaman Pokok Serentak organised by Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai on 24th September. The campaign was held in conjunction with the Planting Hour of Seberang Perai to celebrate Hari Bandaraya. Staff from Sunway Property worked together to plant a dozen trees along the riverside of Sunway Wellesley during the campaign.  

27th September 2022- Sunway XFarms Exclusive Showcase Farm Tour @ KLCC  

Sunway XFarms officially launched a new farm in the heart of KL City Centre, which also marks the largest indoor vertical farm at Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). In conjunction with the launch, a special first harvest promo was offered for the entire month of September.  

Moreover, Sunway XFarms organised their very first exclusive showcase farm tour on the 27th of September. With the launch of the farm, Sunway XFarms is one step closer to improving local food security, self-sufficiency, and providing the urban population access to fresh, high-quality food that's 100% pesticide-free.

September- PAWsome Adventure @ Sunway Big Box & Sunway Citrine Hub, Sunway City Iskandar Puteri 

PAW Patrol held a nationwide tour around Malaysia and hosted PAWsome Adventure at Sunway Big Box and Sunway Citrine Hub @ Sunway City Iskandar Puteri from 1st to 18th September. Almost half a thousand attendees joined the fun-filled event.  

The event activities were "Meet n Greet with Marshall and Chase”, colouring corner, AR photo booth, Rescue Knight Tower HQ playground and Bouncy Castle. Moreover, attendees could redeem exclusive PAW Patrol stickers when they completed all the challenges of PAW Patrol-themed games namely Knock the Tower, Matching Pairs, Shooting with Hoops and Recycle Test. 

September- Roadshows @ Penang Region  

Sunway Property Penang region sales team joined various property roadshows to promote the upcoming Penang project in September, the first of which was the iProperty Fair at Queensbay Mall featuring Sunway Dora, which was held from 14th to 18th September.  

In addition, the Penang sales team was also involved in the Karnival Jom Beli Rumah at Dewan Milenium, Kepala Batas. The campaign organised by Kementerian Perumahan Dan Kerajaan Tempatan (KPKT) was held from 23rd to 25th September. Highlights of the event include entertaining performances by local celebrities such as Dato’ Hattan, Bunkface, Hot FM Zoomers and Dato’ Jamal Abdillah. All participating developers were given a Certificate of Appreciation. 

September- Sweet Tooth & Craft Workshops @ Sales Galleries   

September was overflowed with fun activities and sweetness as various sweet treats were served at Sunway Property’s sales galleries.  

To increase awareness of the developments and attract footfall to the sales galleries, Sunway d’Hill Property Gallery at Sunway Giza Mall satisfied customers’ sweet tooth with delectable events namely “Coffee & Pastries by Dou Dou Bake” and “Soya Desserts by Dáo”. Meanwhile, “Tartsy Artsy” and “Cookie Cup Latte” were held at Sunway Belfield Property Gallery, serving moreish tartlets and sustainable edible cookie cups of coffee to customers.  

On top of that, Sunway Artessa Property Gallery organised traditional art and craft workshops such as “Design Your Batik” and “Make Your Own Lantern” for the month of September, where customers got to unleash their creativity by designing their own batik and making their own lanterns for the Mid-Autumn Festival.  

Speaking of the Mid-Autumn Festival, a Mooncake Giveaway was held in Jernih Residence Property Gallery. Customers received a complimentary Purple Cane tea mooncake during their visit to the show units. Other sweet events include the “Kitkat Ice Cream Event” in celebration of National Month as well as the “Coffee on Us Event”.
